PT Mandiri Sekuritas came into being on July 31, 2000, as part of the consolidation of the Bank Mandiri group of companies that had previously been owned by the legacy banks of Bank Mandiri.
With the strategy of Bank Mandiri of making capital markets and investment banking services one of the bank s main business pillars, Mandiri Sekuritas was significantly recapitalised in 2002 and 2003.
This turned Mandiri Sekuritas into being the largest and best capitalised investment bank in Indonesia. In the relatively short period of time since being recapitalised, Mandiri Sekuritas has transformed itself from a marginal player in the Indonesian capital markets to being a full-service investment bank whose track record includes bringing some of the most prestigious deals to the market in recent memory.
